Policy Privacy

General

The Erasmus Skills is a web service that provides a self-reflection questionnaire designed to explore your knowledge, skills and attitudes BEFORE starting the Erasmus exchange programme for studies. It will help you to focus on the competences you want to achieve during your stay abroad and have a clear vision of your personal development goals. This is simply a tool and not a test. At the end of your exchange programme, you will be able to fill an AFTER mobility questionnaire that will help you understand the evolution of the skills acquired in the context of mobility.

Information Collection and Use

We will only collect personal information about you and given by you when you register on the Erasmus Skills web service. We may disclose aggregated but not individual statistics such as the number of users we have, their regional location, etc., and analyse the data in an anonymised and aggregated form for the purpose of academic research.
If you have given your consent, but you no longer want us to provide such services to you, you can send an email to contact@uni-foundation.eu.
We may also disclose or access your account if required to do so by Law.
By accepting this Privacy Policy and having access to the Erasmus Skills web service, you are entering into the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy and you guarantee that you either are of legal age to do so or have acquired the necessary consent.
Each Account is meant for one individual and may not be shared between multiple users. An Account is valid until deleting it through the web service.
You take full responsibility for safeguarding the access credentials — username and password — combination and cover any damages that may be incurred due to the unauthorised disclosure, use and distribution of said credentials.
You must immediately notify us at contact@uni-foundaiton.eu in case of (a) any abuse of your Account; and (b) the unauthorised disclosure, use and distribution of said credentials by or to third parties.

Notifications

We will occasionally send you notifications through the email indicated upon registration in order to remind you 15 days BEFORE the start of mobility that you can already fill in the first questionnaire and 15 days AFTER the end of your mobility, to invite you to fill in the second questionnaire. You may at any time opt-out from receiving these types of communications by emailing us at contact@uni-foundation.eu.

Cookies

A cookie is a small text file that we transfer to your computer and/or device, to identify a user’s computer/device and to “remember” things (details) about your visit, such as your preferences or a username and password. Information contained in a cookie may be linked to your personal information, such as your user ID, for purposes such as improving the quality of our Services, tailoring recommendations to your interests, and making the Services easier to use. How We Use Information

We use the information collected through the Erasmus Skills web service for the purposes described in this Policy. For example, we may use your information to operate and improve the Erasmus Skills web service; link or combine it with other information we get from third parties, notably the Erasmus+ mobile App, to help understand your preferences and provide you with better services and guidance.

Some of your personal information, such as nationality, studies, degree, university, can be made accessible to the Erasmus Skills Consortium partners.

The EUF has a limited right to access the data in order to proactively analyse the system architecture, data models and infrastructure resources so as to offer the service in the best possible way. This includes, for example, analysis of slow-running database queries, predicting the growth rate of data (in order to allocate resources ahead of time), and analysis of the data contents and format in order to choose the most performant and fitting data models. It is unavoidable that in order to be able to provide the best possible service, EUF must be able to understand the data, as well as emergent trends in the data. Such analysis is done, whenever practical, in an anonymised manner and with only the above, purely technical or service-oriented purposes in mind.

Disclosure of Your information

We do not share your personal data except as approved by you or as described below:

With your user consent, you agree to our sharing your anonymised information with the other partners of the Erasmus Skills consortium.

The EUF may engage other companies and individuals to perform services on our behalf. Example of these services include analysing data and providing user support. These agents and service providers may have access to your personal information in connection with the performance of services for EUF. In such cases, we take all the necessary technical and organisational measures to protect the confidentiality and security of your information from unauthorised access or against loss, misuse or alteration by third parties.

We may release your information as permitted by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or when we believe that release is appropriate to comply with the law; investigate fraud, respond to a government request, enforce or apply our rights; or protect the rights, property, or safety of us or our users, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for fraud protection.

The EUF may share your information in connection with any merger, sale of our assets, or a financing or acquisition of all or a portion of our affairs to another entity. You will be notified via email and/or notice on our website of any change in ownership or users of your personal information.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our information practices. If we make any material changes, we will notify you by means of a notice on our websites prior to the change becoming effective.
